Production Site Prachatice
GRW was found in Würzburg in 1942. Simultaneously GRW invested in a plot of land in Rimpar, our present production site, and soon after that production facilities were built there. At an early stage the GRW management realized the potential of another domicile in the Czech Republic and bought a property there in 1996.
Until 1988 high precision ball bearings were assembled there. In 1998 additional building and modernization activities took place; then in 2007, both production sites were extensively extended.
With the installation of state of the art production facilities for the final assembly of high precision ball bearings and of their completion in 2012, our production site in the Czech Republic experienced other forward-looking investments.
Since 2013 GRW has been employing more than 170 specialists in Prachatice, who carry out the pre and final assembly of high precision ball bearings in a 1,400 m² clean room of the class 10.000 (ISO 14644-1) parallel to the production site in Rimpar.
